Architects and Designers have been thinking of creating new spaces which improve our working environment in order to make people feel happy, relaxed and efficient at their job. 1. Selgas Cano’s woodland glazed office in Madrid

" Spanish architecture firm Selgas Cano designed and built this incredible sunken office, which gives their employees a unique bug’s eye view of the colourful forest around them. Situated in Madrid, the streamlined space is encapsulated by a curving glass wall that provides gorgeous views of the surrounding forest while completely eliminating the need for artificial lighting during the day. 2. Nothing’s cardboard office in Amsterdam



"Dutch advertising agency, Nothing, sought to set up an express office space on a tight budget, so they turned to retro-futuristic Dutch designer Joost van Bleiswijk and design director Alrik Koudenburg, who created a striking cardboard office out of next to nothing."



3. Google’s playful office in Zurich



"Who doesn't want a pool table, reclining chairs, plenty of greenery, and even a slide at work? That's what employees at Google's EMEA Engineering in Zurich asked for when they were encouraged to voice their emotional and practical needs in a design-led survey on how best to transform a local brewery into 12,000 square meters of office space. "



4. The Cuningham Group’s LEED Gold office in Culver City


The Cunningham Group's new office space in Culver City is set within a beautifully renovated warehouse that is currently aiming for LEED Gold certification. Located near public transportation and bike paths, the Hayden Place office is naturally day lit and ventilated.



5. Macquarie Bank’s energy-efficient office in Sydney


"The new Macquarie Bank office headquarters in Sydney, Australia was designed by Clive Wilkinson Architects (CWA) to be forward-thinking in more ways than one. The building's multifaceted interior is designed to meet the most exacting standards of efficiency found in green star and LEED, reducing its overall energy consumption by 50%."



6. Except’s crystal forest office


Worldwide sustainability cooperative Except has renovated an abandoned shipyard in Amsterdam, transforming it into an energy-neutral office space filled with lush vegetation.
