Hemp is cultivated in many parts of the world and used in the production of a variety of great resources, such as paper, fabric, fuel, plastic and FOOD!


Our idea is to present you a selection of meals which all include HEMP food products. ;)


Why are Hemp Seeds so good for you ?


« Although the leaves of the hemp plant are edible, the part of the plant best known for it’s nutritional value are the seeds. These small seeds are highly nutritious, containing essential fatty acids, amino acids, and various minerals. About a third of the weight of the seed is made up of oil, and most of that oil is of the healthy variety: ALA (alpha-linoleic acid, a type of Omega-3 fat) and linoleic acid. These essential fatty acids (EFA's for short) can benefit your health in many ways. Hemp seeds also contain complete, high-quality protein and all eight essential amino acids. »


A continually expanding variety of other hemp food products, like granola, snack bars, protein powders, waffles, and even hemp milk, hemp tofu, and hemp butter are available these days, usually at natural foods stores and online retailers…

1. Garlic Avocado Toast + Hemp Seeds & Red Chili Flakes

2. Garlic and Dill Hemp Cheese

This creamy vegan hemp cheese is made from creamed & blended hemp seeds, flavoured with garlic and dill.

Produce

2x tbsp Dill, fresh

2x Garlic cloves

Refrigerated

2x tbsp Almond or soy milk, unflavoured

Condiments

3x tbsp Lemon juice

1/4 tsp Salt

3. The Hemp and Greens Burger

1x Cup Millet

1¾ Cups Water, for cooking

The Rest of the Fritters

½ Cup Chickpea Flour

⅓ Cup Psyllium Husk

¼ Cup Coconut Oil, melted

½ Cup Water

1x Tsp Dried Parsley

½ Tsp Paprika

½ Tsp Onion Powder

½ Tsp Salt

½ Tsp Pepper

⅛ Tsp Mustard Powder

4. Red Quinoa Super Seed Burgers

1 tbsp Garlic powder

1 15 oz can Kidney beans, red

1 Scallion

Condiments

1 tbsp Miso, yellow mild

Pasta & grains

1/2 cup Quinoa, red

1 tbsp Celery seeds

2 tbsp Corn meal

1 tbsp Corn starch

2 tbsp Nutritional yeast flakes

2 tbsp Flax seeds, ground

15 Medjool dates, pitted

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/4 cup raw almonds

1/4 cup peanut butter

1/4 cup Just Hemp Hulled Hemp Seeds

1 1/2 oz. dark chocolate

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp vanilla extract
