Cannabis oil is used in cancer treatment. There are already several cases around the world which confirm the healing aspect of cannabis oil.
First of all, do you know the difference between cannabis, hemp and marijuana ?
Cannabis sativa is the plant which have two species. Hemp and marijuana are both varieties or of it. Marijuana is actually a Spanish term meaning “Mary-Jane”. Marijuana is simply considered to have a higher THC content than hemp. THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is one of the unique plant chemicals of cannabis. However, both hemp and marijuana contain various cannabinoids, a class of chemicals that activate cell membrane receptors.
All of the cells in our body have cannabinoid receptor sites, including cells which have gone harmful and become cancerous. The brilliant thing about cannabis oil is that its THC and CBD connect to these cannabinoid receptor sites, causing the cell to increase ceramide, which then causes cell death. However, normal cells are unaffected by this, so cannabis oil is a targeted killer of cancer cells, leaving healthy cells intact.
From a testimonial published on HERB, a family has also discovered the benefits of cannabis oil for the treatment of pediatric epilepsy. The famous Charlotte’s Web CBD oil has given little Emma the medical treatment she needs for her disease. The parents had tried many pharmaceuticals which all had always failed until now.
Jessica Crozier had never even considered medical cannabis as a serious treatment for her daughters daily battle with seizures.
« I had some friends say, ‘Why don’t you think about cannabis?’ I didn’t believe in it as a medicine. I knew it as pot, as a drug, so my husband and I were leery. We did our research. I am a teacher and by nature, I research and do my homework. »
While skeptical at first, Jessica knew that she couldn’t judge the plant unless she had done thorough research and then a trial run.
« There are some doctors and neurologists who are not quite on board and that is OK, but you can’t deny the progress that you see right in front of you when parents come to you and say their kid is having one or two (seizures) a week, instead of 15 in a day. »
The instantaneous relief on Emma’s seizures has given her a second lease on life, with her social skills expanding and her parents discovering a whole new Emma.
« With this medication, the cloud has lifted and we’re finally meeting the true Emma and seeing her real personality.»
